Your job description is tantalizingly vague!  I’ll be forthright with you:  my formal experience with testing is slim to nil.  My exposure comes from previous work terms and self-taught ad hoc testing with industry standard tools like OpenSTA and the Microsoft Web Application Stress Tool as well as creating test suites for code.

Staying honest, I’ll admit that testing just isn’t “sexy.”  We’re indoctrinated from day one to believe that testing just isn’t the “cool” part of software engineering.  Nonetheless, I believe it is a core component of proper engineering and I would love the opportunity to learn more about this crucial yet often-neglected part of development under the leadership of your team.

My resume, attached below, is a bit unorthodox, but I believe it describes me well.  You’ll see that I more than make up for my lack of formal education in this area with a hearty work ethic and an innate curiosity.
